Little Boxes
Most people view any food that comes in a bright colored package as “bad.”
Larabar was the opposite. A bar made of simple, real ingredients like dates and almonds, it’s everything packaged food could be.
So to launch the brand (and provide some commentary on the food industry), I rewrote the lyrics to “Little Boxes,” a song that provided social commentary on the 1950’s suburban boom.
I sang it to our CCO.
I sang it to the folks at General Mills.
Then, thankfully, we got the band Lucius to sing it.
The spot launched during the Grammy’s and Bachelor premiere and immediately received traction on social.
